EZ Resizer Software

1. If you are using EZ Photo Resizer Software, load the program into the CD drive on your computer. Click on the EZ Resizer software and wait for the program to load. This may take 20 to 30 seconds.
2. To select size, click on the configure button. The items sold on our website have a corresponding size number. Check your invoice or the items page on our website for the size number. If the item you are making is not included you can use the Custom Option on the software. Using a ruler, measure the exact size of your frame in millimeters and use the custom option at the bottom of the list to enter the custom dimensions.
3. Insert your photos by clicking on the add image button. Just select the files from their location on your computer and open them into the program.
4. After you have inserted your photos and selected the size, and click "Create a PDF file." The program will generate and open a PDF file. You can save your template at this time if you would like. Preview the pictures and print. The photo will print out the correct size and shape to insert in the frame of the charm! There are some very fine dotted lines on the paper to use as a guide to cut the photos out.

EZ-Resizer Troubleshooting:
- If you receive a “Sharing violation” error, make sure you are using jpeg format files. If you are using all jpeg files and are still receiving the error, insert each picture individually and test it to see which picture is causing the problem.
- If you receive the error “Some values on this screen are not useable”, adjust the number of rows and columns on the configuration page. The PDF can only hold as many photos as will fit across a sheet of photo paper, so take the size of your photo into consideration when changing the rows and columns.

Photo Jewelry Clear Coating Instructions

After you have printed and cut out your photos, glue the photo down to the item blank (if applicable) with the included super glue, then follow these easy clear coating steps!:


1. Clear coating: Put desired amount of drops from the bottle labeled “clear coating” into plastic cup included in coating kit. To get a good a mix, don’t use less than at least 30 drops. NOTE: Photo jewelry clear coating works best at 75°F/24°C. The bottles should feel slightly warm to the touch. If they are cold, this can cause problems (bubbles) in step 3 when you are stirring. To warm your bottle, run it under some warm (not hot) water.

2. Activator: Put in an equal amount of drops from the bottle labeled “activator.” Ex: If you used 50 drops of clear coating, use 50 drops of activator. Make sure you mix equal amounts, or your end result will be a sticky finish that never sets properly.


3. Stir: Stir activator and clear coating together with the included stirring stick. Be sure to stir slowly and not incorporate any air into the mix as you are stirring. If you are making a larger batch of coating you could use an item such as the handle of a plastic spoon to make stirring easier and more thorough. If you accidentally incorporate air into your mix and a bubble does appear, you can exhale on it to pop it so that it does not break up and become many smaller bubbles. Stir until the mixture appears combined. It will be transparent and should not appear “milky”, have swirls in it, or have a greasy looking residue on top. If you see these, keep stirring until they are gone. If you do not, your final result will be sticky and tacky.

4. Transfer coating: Once you think your coating is combined properly, transfer it to another plastic cup and stir for another minute or so. This prevents unmixed coating that could be stuck the sides of the first cup from ending up in your final mix. If you do not do this step, your final result could end up sticky and tacky due to the unmixed coating.


5. Cover: If you are using an item with a loop on top that is causing it to sit uneven, set it on the edge of something such as a tile or book, with the loop over the edge so that your item will sit level. For bracelets with attached frames that are sitting uneven, you can set each frame on top of a coin to keep them level. If you are making a smaller item, carefully dab on drops coating with the stirring stick until the photo or other item is covered. You can pour coating directly from the cup for larger items like belt buckles. Do it slowly and let the coating spread out before applying more. If you do it too quickly you may overflow your item, as it will expand slightly after it is applied. If you have bubbles, wait a few minutes and allow them to rise from the bottom. The coating should de-gas itself and the bubbles should pop at the surface. Exhaling gently on the surface can aid the bubbles in popping as well.

6. Set aside: After your item is covered with coating, place it in a dust-free area. Try not to place your item in areas with high humidity such as near a steamy bathroom after a shower, or near a kitchen while cooking. Cover with something to keep dust out, such as a shoebox or tupperware container without a lid. Make sure it is in an area where people or animals are not going to be moving or bumping the space that your items are on. Let sit for at least 24 hours, or up to 72 hours to ensure a super hard finish. Do not touch before the 24 hour mark or you will leave fingerprints in the finish. After 24 hours, your item should be hard to the touch, clear, and glassy. Now you’re done and your item is ready to go!

HIGH HUMIDITY AREA TIP: If you live in a high humidity area and are going to be making large quantities of photo jewelry, you may want to invest a few dollars in a non-electric moisture absorber such as a Damprid™. These are usually less than $10.00 at your local hardware store. It is not necessary, but can be a helpful tool in making photo jewelry. Place it in the plastic box with your photo jewelry while it is drying and it will absorb the humidity, thus creating a harder finish. Make sure your box is big enough to close with the Damprid™ inside.

Clean up: While it is still in it’s liquid form, clear coating can be cleaned from tools with alcohol. Use warm water and liquid soap to clean from skin. NEVER USE SOLVENTS OR ALCOHOL TO CLEAN CLEAR COATING FROM YOUR SKIN

PRECAUTIONS: AVOID INHALATION, INGESTION, EYE AND SKIN CONTACT. WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND GOGGLES. DO NOT WEAR CONTACT LENSES. DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. USE ONLY IN ADEQUATE VENTILATED AREAS. USE WINDOW EXHAUST FAN OR OTHER SUITABLE EQUIPMENT TO REMOVE VAPORS AWAY FROM THE WORK AREA. WASH WITH SOAP AND WATER AFTER USE. KEEP CONTAINER TIGHTLY CLOSED WHEN NOT IN USE.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE:
SKIN CONTACT: Irritation, dryness, flaking. After sensitization, hives or rashes.
EYE CONTACT: Irritation, redness, or eye watering.
INHALATION: Irritation. After sensitization allergy type symptoms, with possible breathing difficulties. May cause Central Nervous System (CNS) depression. Evident by headache, dizziness, or nausea.
INGESTION: Irritation. Large quantities may cause nausea, and vomiting. May cause Central Nervous System (CNS) depression. Evident by headache, dizziness, or nausea.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

EYE CONTACT: Remove any contact lenses and flush eyes for 15 minutes with water. Hold eyelids open to ensure complete flushing. CONTACT A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY. SKIN CONTACT: Remove contaminated clothing/shoes and wipe excess from skin. Flush skin with water. Follow by washing with soap and water. If irritation occurs, GET MEDICAL ATTENTION. Do not reuse clothing until cleaned. Contaminated leather articles, including shoes, cannot be decontaminated and should be destroyed to prevent reuse.
INHALATION: Leave the area to obtain fresh air. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration then oxygen if needed. If difficulty breathing or other symptoms continue, CALL A PHYSICIAN.
INGESTION: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. CALL A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY or the Poison Control Center. If patient is conscious, give 12-16 oz of water for dilution effect only. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person.
